I had always wonder why my portraits always fell off short on the wow-factor department. Exposure – check. DOF – check. Patterns – check. Pose – check. Beautiful model *ahem* – check. Bla bla…
But something always missing in my images. Turned out it was the chopped off limbs of my model (out of the frame that is LOL).
So I just stumbled upon this very useful piece of quick guide, a.k.a. cheat sheets by geeks in DigitalCameraWorld.com, which simply show me what is OK and what is totally NOT OK to crop out in my portrait.
Simply put:
- Red-lines : DO NOT EVER CROP THESE OUT OF YOUR FRAME
- Green-lines : Crop-me out no problemos.
